The production plans in Energy Optima 3 takes the economically important components, dependencies and availabilities in the energy system and the optimal trading market participation into consideration.
Using the trading module in Energy Optima 3, traders have the possibility to receive and confirm the results from the production planners in a fast and convenient way. The system is adapted for trading in 15 min resolution.

Together with partners, we also provide automatic participation on trading markets and so called multi-market optimization.

Price Forecasts

Energy Optima 3 includes electricity prices forecasts for the day-ahead spot market with prices for each hour of the next few days in the total optimization. This forecast is then the basis for day-ahead electricity trading on the power exchange.

Ancillary Service Markets

Energy Optima 3 handles all types of reserve power, e.g. FCR-D, aFRR, mFRR etc., that are traded in the markets for ancillary services:

  • Primary
  • Secondary
  • Tertiary

This includes the handling of specific national rules for the lengths of bids for balance power, down to 15 min resolution.

Total Optimization

In optimizations that include participation on trading markets, all the ingoing economic components of the total energy system are optimized:

  • Own electricity production
  • Deliveries on contracts and the demand for district heating, steam and other energy types
